This lathe delivers high speed for efficient machining, and plenty of power for heavy roughing cuts. It's simple set up, and easy operation make it the ideal machine for short production, or toolroom and maintenance operations. Features of both the standard model, and the toolroom model, include a U. S. casting with three hardened and ground v-ways, designed to eliminate fishtailing, and a 33 inch center-to-center distance. The headstock has a 1 3/8" thru-hole with a 1 1/16" max collet capacity through a collet or jaw chuck, a 4" D-1 cam lock spindle nose, with the option of a one- or two-speed direct drive or back-geared spindle. Features include satin finish, direct-reading micrometer dials, and a quick-change gear box that can cut up to 70 thread pitches, from 4 to 480 threads per inch, and travel at 70 longitudinal and cross power feeds. Metric transposing gears, and other accessories are available.

Includes fairly new flat headstock drive belt and an extra new belt. Lathe has very low usage (est. under 600 hours) and all original. plaques and tags still in place. It has been well maintained, and all parts operate smoothly. Lead screws and half nuts are all in good
shape. Original paint is oil stained but still in good shape. It was used in a small printing shop and recently replaced with a bigger model. These lathes have a powered cross-slide and a complete quick-change threading gearbox, and are capable of doing very accurate work. Two head chucks included: 6" Skinner 4206-51 four-jaw independent chuck with reversible jaws. 5" Union Mfg. three-jaw spiral chuck with both inward and outward facing jaw sets.
